Katherine Miranda (they/he) is a Latinx, non-binary artist born, raised and based in the Bronx. Drawing from their mixed Mexican, Puerto Rican and American heritage, they utilize used objects to create work that acts as a reflection, an investigation and an homage to their history and ancestry. Miranda has been awarded several fellowships including the Create Change Fellowship with The Laundromat Project (2023), the AIM Fellowship with the Bronx Museum of Arts (2022) and the New York Community Trust Van Lier Fellowship with Wave Hill (2021). Miranda’s work has been exhibited in places such as: Bronx Council of the Arts, The Point CDC, BAAD!, BronxArtSpace, The Yard: Williamsburg and Wave Hill where they held their first solo show, I Answer Back. They have also been featured on News 12, BronxNet, NBC New York, Pix 11 News, The New York Times and Brooklyn College’s “30 Under 30” Magazine. They received their BFA from Macaulay
Honors at Brooklyn College.
