This series of 23 large scale portraits are derived from conversations had with my friends from the Isthmus region of Oaxaca, Oaxaca city and CDMX. Each portrait is naturally an act of rebellion as Muxhes, non-conforming and transgender people continue to have their lives erased by racism and machismo. These are stories of love, triumph, migration and survival that somehow always continue to find their way back home.
