“It´s never too late to make art” it´s a painting exhibition by Aida Miró’s students at PSS Highbridge in the last years with SU CASA program by the Bronx Council of the Arts
Aida Miró is NYC based multidisciplinary artist born in Ibiza (Spain), living between Ibiza and NYC. Her work vindicates the importance of women in society, advocated diversity, elevates the sacred feminine and mithological goddess. Aida Miró started painting murals and writing graffiti in early 90s in Ibiza.
Her practice combines studio work (mainly oil painting), large scale spray paint murals, live painting and butoh dance performances. She holds a PhD in Art Education with CUM LAUDE from the University Autonoma of Madrid (Spain) 2019.
After graduating BA in Fine Arts at the University Politécnica of Valencia she moved to Barcelona to learn circus techniques at the Rogelio Rivel Circus School.
Her interest to combine painting and shows took her a grant to a Postgraduate in Theater Design in Bristol (UK), where she worked intensively in theater, circus, Tv and film productions. Since 2007 she has been traveling and living in different countries, learning from different Masters of butoh dance.
