Writing Workshop: The Language of Protest

Sat, June 3 (2 to 4 pm), Sat, June 10 (2 to 4 pm)
Title: The Language of Protest -This workshop will explore the place of objects in memory and how they convey collective truths. We will incorporate materials that engage the tactile senses to the effects of building spicier vocabularies and more concrete images in our work. Writers will be asked to bring in one short piece of writing, by another author, that connects to the concept of protest or witness. Each class is taught by a different teacher, giving you a unique writing experience.

The series of free workshops is designed to unlock the artist within and empower you as an individual and community partner. Our series will be taught by amazing teachers and collaborators that are so excited to engage with you in the creative process. All workshops are listed below and you can join as many as you would like. A small deposit of $10 is required for registration per workshop.
