Thinking of Home: Story-Telling and Video Stories Community Project

BxArts Factory in partnership with the Bronx Music Heritage Center worked with the Neighborhood Shopp Senior Center La Casa Boricua to identify senior citizens that immigrated to the Bronx at a young age.

Poets Peggy Robles-Alvarado, Bonafide Rojas, El DAVÍD & Andres Chulisi Rodriguez will present original work inspired by the stories told by an amazing group of seniors from La Casa Boricua Center.

Additionally, artist and videographer Melanie Gonzalez ART will present a series of short video stories/documentaries created to further higlight their stories.

This event will also be the culmination of the art exhibition Memories Un-Remembered: Thinking of Home (Longing).
