Making or ReVising Your Vision Board
Are you looking to complete your vision? Vision boards are powerful tools for visualizing your future, clarifying your desires and achieving your goals. But what happens after the board is complete? Some of us have gotten as far as gathering the supplies, yet never starting. Either way, you are in the right place. While other events are focusing on only creating new Visions, we will focus on both, the old and the new. We at BxArts Factory recognize that taking a dream from vision to reality is a process. It may take time and things may change. However, the best part is realizing that’s okay. Share victories and discuss perceived failures all while in good company
Langston Hughes’ poem, “A Dream Deferred” heavily influenced Martin Luther King, Jr. Our dreams should neither be a heavy load nor should they explode. Well all know that MLK had a Dream. Now let’s work to elevate our dreams into vision that we make our reality.
Join members of the BxArts Factory community for our 1st Bronx and Crafts workshop of 2018 during Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend! In this workshop, we will use fabric, paint and printed materials to create vision boards inspired by our hopes, dreams and goals for 2018. Ticket ($30) includes a FREE drink, special gift and all art materials! At the end of the night you will take home your own creation on a canvas! We will be in a private new salon at the newly renovated and spacious Bronx Drafthouse! There, you can order a variety of cocktails, beers and get a taste of their delicious dishes. Come with your partner, your friend, or on your own to meet other great people and network!
