Re-Installation of Sea of Color: Community Floor Artwork
Join BxArts Factory at 12 noon this Sunday, December 3rd, to celebrate the re-installation of A Sea of Color: Community Floor Artwork. This is a public art installation by Bronx artist Alexis Mendoza at Tremont Park (Near the Steps on 3rd Avenue).
Our initial installation was vandalized and removed by an unknown person. We are re-installing this mural this Sunday and would love to invite community members and media to send the message of solidarity and strength for this park and this community! We believe in the power of art so we invite you to come by and share a poem, dance or help us install the artwork. We are calling upon media and community to help us spread the word, further, about this unique and special work at the Tremont Park.
