Spaniard and Galician Poetry
The brand new 2020 Spain National Poetry award winner, Olga Novo, will cross the Atlantic Ocean – virtually – as a guest of the Bowery Poetry Club of New York. She will do so from the hand of the poet, also Galician, Marcos de la Fuente, host for Bowery Poetry, from which he gives visibility in the US to poets from Spain and Portugal.
The Galician poets will be accompanied on this virtual journey by another four Spanish poets: Rafael Soler from Madrid, Maite Martí Vallejo from Barcelona, David Trashumante from Valencia and Verónica Martinez from Santiago de Compostela, who will also recite in Galician.
As if it were a section of the Camino de Santiago, A Pobra do Brollón – Santiago de Compostela – New York, Olga Novo, who with her collection of poems Feliz Idade won the Spain National Poetry Prize this year, will visit us at the Bowery Poetry Club in a excited journey of European poetry.
