Artist Talk for the Exhibition ART WE ALL ONE by Azekiwe Providence
Join us for the artist talk of the exhibition ART WE ALL ONE by Azekiwe Providence, the latest Artist in Residence at the Factory.
Join us for the artist talk by Azekiwe Providence about “Art We All One,” an exhibition of photographs spotlighting moments that are significant and important in Azekiwe’s study of everyday life of people and spaces they inhabit.
Experience has informed him that one of the greatest forces lies in the relationship between human beings and their interaction with their surrounding environment.
Through recognition via documentation, a photo captures a moment in time.
This process, through repetition, becomes as empowering as the captured action itself, providing a transformational experience.
“Art We All One” represents the connections present in everyday life within New York City’s borough of The Bronx. Each picture carries a story; each story possesses meaning, as there is a reason for each account. As a visual storyteller, he aims to preserve life that seeks to be erased and rewritten sensitively and authentically, in constant search of truth. His mantra is to record, share, and connect, embodying the essence of “We All Art One”.
